Kokkino Chorio

Kokkino Chorio is a scenic small village in the area of Apokoronas, situated 4 km away from the beachside resort of Almyrida and about 40 minutes away from the city of Chania. It is one of the settlements of Apokoronas that have kept most of the authentic elements of Cretan rural areas. Small stone built houses of late 19th and early 20th century, a main square with cute small kafeneia and tavernas with traditional food, and in the past 20 years newly built, traditional-style villas in tune with the whole environment.
