BALOS BAY

BALOS BAY

The originality of the natural landscape of these places creates a unique phenomenon – the confluence of the sea waters of three different water areas. Balos is washed by the waters of the Libyan, Aegean and Ionian seas. Here the water amazes with its fantastic shades from light blue to deep azure, sometimes turning into turquoise.

Balos Bay is a place of amazing natural beauty included in the European Natura 2000 program. If you travel by sea, by boat or rent a yacht, you can climb the Venetian fortress on the way on the island of Gramvousa. And below, on the same island next to the beach, go to the small church of the Holy Apostles. You can also get there by car, but only to the Balos bay. Not an easy way – you need to drive about 8 km along the Greek dirt road and then go down to the bay. This path is worth seeing this beauty with your own eyes.
